Pastor andy King

Hey guys,
My name is Andy and I have been married to my wife Patti for 34 years. Outside of my salvation, Patti is the greatest thing that has ever happened in my life. We have 3 wonderful adult children. Rebekah is our oldest, she is married to Nick; and they have Lynzi, Gunner and Sophia. Our son Josiah married Summer this year, and we have another grandson on the way. Grace is our youngest, and she is with out a doubt is like her Momma, personality plus.
I graduated with a business degree from West Georgia College in 1986. I wanted to be a godly businessman who would support my pastor and my local church, but God had a different plan. In 1991, God called me to preach in the prisons, I never saw that coming. My ministry journey included being a youth pastor, planting a church, and then becoming the associate pastor of Christ Chapel in Macon for 10 years. In 2007, I became the pastor of Christ Chapel’s first campus launch in Warner Robins. I served as the pastor at Christ Chapel Warner Robins for 12 years.
I saw myself being the pastor of CCWR until retirement, but once again, God had a different plan. In December of 1018, Patti and I were in agreement, our chapter in Warner Robins was ending. I resigned on January 13, 2019. There was only one problem, we did not know where we were headed next. We call the first 6 months of 2019, our holding pattern. No direction, no door opening, and it was like the Lord was asking me, “Do you really trust me”?
God’s timing is always perfect. In 5 weeks, I became the pastor here at Barnesville First, we sold our house in Warner Robins and bought our house in Thomaston. That’s right, 5 weeks. Let me tell you, we walked into an amazing church, and they have embraced us, loved us, and believe I am the man God called to lead the church into it’s next chapter.
Here are 3 things I learned about myself over the last 28 years of ministry.
In Him,
Andy

Here are 3 things I learned about myself over the last 28 years of ministry.
- I am a shepherd/pastor. God has given me a heart for broken people.
- I am a teacher/pastor. I long to see Christians mature and grow.
- I am a leader/pastor. I love seeing people step out of the boat into their purpose.
In Him,
Andy
